Ears
Starting with rainbow yarn Create a Slip Knot leaving a tail of yarn and CH 2
Round 1 – 5 SC into the 2nd CH from the hook and pull tight, continue to crochet in rounds (5ST)
Round 2 – 2 SC into every stitch around (10ST)
Round 3 – 2 SC into the first stitch, 1 SC into the next stitch, repeat around (15ST) At this point I take the tail from the start and weave it in and trim
Round 4 – SC into every stitch around (15ST)
Round 5 – SC DEC, SC in the next stitch, repeat around (10ST)
Round 6 – Round 8 (2 rounds in total) – SC into every stitch around (10ST)
Round 9 – SC DEC into every stitch around (5ST)
Round 10 – SC into every stitch around (5ST)
FO – Cut yarn leaving a long enough tail to attach the Ears to the bunny head. I usually sew around the ears twice to make it more secure.
Arms/Legs x2
Counting from the bottom, attach yarn for the first arm in row 5 or 6 to the body (attach slightly to the side of the body).
*Chain 5, Skip 4 ST at the front of the body and attach into the 5th stitch, turn and SC 8 stitches around the chain, attach to the body at the same place that the arm/leg was started with a SC*
Attach yarn for second arm in row 3 or 4 (counting from the bottom in line with the first arm), Repeat from * to *
FO – Cut yarn leaving a tail and sew up the gap & weave in end* (please note, the number of chains and single crochet used for the arms/legs, may need to be adjusted depending on your hook size and the size pencil you would like the Bunny to fit. The arms/legs will stretch with use so a snug fit on the pencil is best).
