Starting with Brown/Grey Yarn
Create a Slip Knot and CH 2
Round 1 – 6 SC into 2nd chain from the hook and pull tight, continue to crochet in rounds (6ST)
Round 2 – 2 SC into the first stitch, 1 SC into the next 2 stitches, repeat around (8)
Round 3 – 2 SC into the first stitch, 1 SC into the next 3 Stitches, repeat around (10)
Round 4 – SC into every stitch around (10)
Round 5 – 2 SC into the first stitch, 1 SC into the next 4 stitches, repeat around (12)
Round 6 – 2 SC into the first stitch, 1 SC into the next stitch, repeat around (18ST)
Round 7 to Round 9 (3 rounds in total) – SC into every stitch around (18ST)
At this point I take the tail from the start and weave it in and trim and embroider the nose and eyes
using black yarn and white (for the catch lights in the eyes). Nose is stitched between rows 1 – 2, eyes between rows 5 – 6, approx. 3 stitches a part. I use double yarn for embroidering features.
Round 10 – SC DEC, SC in the next stitch, repeat around (12ST). Remember to include the ears as you crochet Round 10 see below.
EARS x2 in Round 10, 3 or 4 stitches a part
Once you are in the position that you want the first ear to go,
Chain 3, HDC in the 2nd CH from the hook, DC into the next ST, SL ST into the same stitch as the start of the ear. 1 SC, into the next 3 or 4 stitches (depending where you want the second ear to go), repeat the process for the ear. finish round 10 (12 ST)
Now fill the head with Hobby Fill
Round 11 – SC DEC around until there are 6 stitches left. I decrease around the Ears as I go
FO – Cut yarn leaving a tail and sew up the gap & weave in end
